An orthodontic implant is placed in the jawbone to move the tooth with its position as the anchorage. As this orthodontic implant is made of titanium and facilitates bonding with the jawbone, movement of the tooth can be achieved with a stable force. Although orthodontic tooth movement using only wires may take several years, implant orthodontics can reduce the treatment period by about half.
